Lord Rudra has been glorified several times in the Yajurveda. Lord Rudra destroys all sorrows, it destroys a man’s sins and brings him near to blessings of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Rudra is worshiped by all Gods and Goddesses. Ati Rudra Maha Yagna is a Maha Yagna that is done to seek the blessings of Lord Rudra or Shiva. Often the Ati Rudra Maha Yagna is conducted for the betterment of entire humanity and mankind. Rudram is the combination of Namakam and Chamakam which is given in the Yajur Veda. Ati Rudram involves 14641 Rudrams. It is believed that conducting the Ati Rudra Maha Yagna washes away all the sins of this and past lives and brings peace, happiness and prosperity.
