Shiv Maha Puran is one of the primary Purnanas that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shiva Purana consists of 100,000 verses of stories, cosmology, mythology all related to Lord Shiva. Unaware of this, Pushpadant stepped on these holy Bilva Patras and became a victim of Lord Shiva’s anger and lost his divine power of being invisible. To pacify Lord Shiva, Pushpadanta sang stotras, which are known as Shiva Mahima stotras.

Shraadh Puja holds a lot of essentials according to Hindu convictions, which is a lunar time of Bhadrprada.
