Goddess Bhubaneswari Devi is also famous as Jagan-Mata and Jagat-Dhatri. It is believed that Goddess Bhubaneswari is the creator of the five elements namely Sky, Air, Earth, Fire and Water, of which the entire universe is created. Maa Bhubaneswari is consort of Lord Shiva and that She slayed a demon named Durgam, She is often depicted with a third eye and Ardha Chandra. She has four arms that adorn kanthi and jewels and a weapon. Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is of very gentle and simple nature and is worshipped for prosperity, knowledge and success. Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is the fourth amongst the Dus Mahavidya or the ten wisdom Goddesses.
