Guru Purnima is a sacred full moon day dedicated to expressing deep respect and reverence for one’s Guru — the spiritual teacher and guide who dispels ignorance and illuminates the path of wisdom. Observed on the full moon of the Hindu month Ashadha (June–July), it commemorates the birth anniversary of Sage Ved Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas and the author of the Mahabharata. This day is a profound spiritual opportunity to realign yourself with the highest knowledge, purify karma, and receive divine guidance. Through a traditional Guru Purnima Puja and Yajna, you can honor your Guru or seek the blessings of the universal teacher, Lord Dakshinamurthy, and receive peace, clarity, and protection.
